This was one of the tunes where Mike had written a melody and some words, and sent me an MP3 of him singing a rough of it, doing air-guitar with his voice, and such. In his own words, he wanted the tune to be a sledgehamer. (Synth guitars, by the way, were not quite bringing out the sledgehammer quality.) As we near the end of the project, I am redoing a lot of the music with real guitars, to try to get the crunch we want - YET - I discovered that the song has a pop element about it (despite the metal), and the guitars can't be over the top. Work in progress still.
